In 2004 and a few years out of college I was struggling to find my way career wise. After several failed attempts with “real jobs” I decided that I was going to start my own surfing school. In the beginning, I did at least one thing each day to move the business forward while working full time as a restaurant manager & wine buyer. In 2005 I launched and worked both jobs for several months until I was confident I could sustain from my business alone. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t eat more than my share of top ramen that winter but I made it and never looked back.
